Grayslake Area Public Library
Less than a half a mile walk from historic downtown Grayslake, you’ll find the open spaces of Central and Gelatin Parks, and the community campus featuring the Grayslake Area Public Library (GAPL).
The library, which opened at 100 Library Lane in 1999, has over 150,000 physical items, as well as over 125,000 e-materials for individuals of all ages. GAPL also offers a wide variety of programming and services, not to mention countless children’s offerings. The upstairs is entirely dedicated to youth services including hands-on activities, books, multimedia and more. For those who like to design, create, and build, you can find The Hub on the first floor. The Hub makerspace offers a large selection of equipment allowing you to explore your creative side. Such mediums include 3D Printing, laser cutting and engraving, electronic cutter, sewing machines and maker kits.
If you’re ever looking for some helpful resources, entertainment, a great book to read (or listen to), or want to learn more about a subject, the library is a perfect place to experience. Learn more about the Grayslake Area Public Library and their numerous events by visiting their website.
