The Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum features multiple exhibition galleries, a community room, archives and collections storage. It also incorporates the original Village Hall, a former one-room school house moved to the site and expanded in 1895.

Disney Family Trivia Night will be held on Friday, November 8th, from 6 pm - 9 pm at Grayslake Middle School (GMS). Come out for an epic battle of Disney knowledge! Test your skills with six rounds of trivia, featuring questions from Disney, Star Wars, Pixar, and Marvel universes.

Pumpkin Smash (Compost)
Bring your pumpkins to the Grayslake Area Public Library parking lot to be composted. Pumpkins with paint will be accepted; decorations/candles must be removed. This composting opportunity is held in partnership with the Grayslake Central High School’s Environmental Science Students and the Village of Grayslake.

Lake County Folk Club Open Stage
Join the Lake County Folk Club for Open Stage. Sign up begins at 6 pm and music starts at 6:30 pm.
Anyone who would like to perform is encouraged to do so. Non-performing listeners are always encouraged, and will be pleasantly surprised with the diverse musical styles represented.
The first 12 performers get to do two songs (no more than ten minutes total). After the 1st 12, they will fit in as many one-song performers as time allows. Things get wrapped up at 8:30. Suggested donation is $3.

Andy’s Records Vinyl Listening Club: Songs Ohia
Each month, Andy’s Records gathers to listen to and dissect a selected vinyl album with a group of like-minded music lovers over snacks and drinks (BYOB). They encourage you to listen in any way you can ahead of the meeting and be prepared to participate in a casual discussion about the album.
This month’s selection is The Magnolia Electric Company by Songs Ohia! The Magnolia Electric Co. is the seventh and final album by Songs: Ohia. It was recorded by Steve Albini at Electrical Audio in Chicago and released by Secretly Canadian on March 4, 2003.

Grayslake Giving Trees
The Annual Grayslake Giving Trees display is coming back to the second floor of the Grayslake Heritage Center & Musuem! Local nonprofits have decorated trees to showcase their mission or this year’s theme: "Vintage." Vote for your favorite tree or just enjoy the festivities. Votes are $1 per ticket and the organization with the most votes keeps the entire profit from their tree. The remaining organizations split the proceeds with the Grayslake Historical Society.

Join Beer Bazaar during the Grayslake Festival of Lights & Holiday Market for the 2024 Goose Island Bourbon County Release Party at Beer Bazaar on November 29th beginning at 4 pm. They will have special Bourbon County tappings of the 2024 Original, Vanilla Rye, Macaroon, and Proprietor’s. All 6 Bottles will be available to purchase in-store (while supplies last and limit one bottle of each variant per person) - sets of all 6 bottles will be available on their website.

TinkerBread House Kick-Off
During the Village of Grayslake’s Festival of Lights and Holiday Market, stop by Village Hall to get a start on your TinkerBread house with supplies provided. Craft a seasonal/holiday building using these required materials: pasta and bottle caps. Turn in your Tinkerbread House by December 14 at the Adult or Youth Desk at the Grayslake Area Public Library.

Join the Grayslake Arts Alliance on Friday, November 29th at the Grayslake Village Hall (10 Seymour Ave, second floor) from 5 pm - 8 pm for their 2024 Holiday Fine Arts Show & Sale! Brian Oberlin is an internationally acclaimed mandolin player and educator. During his decades long professional career, Brian has been playing swing, bluegrass, and Italian classical as a solo mandolinist and vocalist. Brian celebrated the release of his 20th album in May, 2016; Troubadour which features Brian playing solo and singing original music.
